Let's Do The Math (Why You Save Money Recording With Us!)

Lately I have been hearing and coming across a lot of local cd's and it seems to me that people have forgotten how important quality is. The thought of today, and the rest of your career.... "How do you expect a label to invest in you, if you won't invest in yourself?" I mean, come on local artists. Your friend with the studio in his closet is charging you 15-20 dollars to give you 1 song in an hour. Thats cool I guess but the quality is trash. And are you really saving money?!!!

Lets do the math...

15 per hour in a local studio. You want to record 2 songs but the engineer is so slow that you only get 1 song done. It sounds good in their studio but when you put it in your car it sounds like you have a speaker problem...

At Radio Ready Recording Studios in Studio B you spend 25 for an hour. You record both the songs that you wanted to in an hour. You worked with a professional engineer and was able to recreate all the special editing tricks that you had in mind for the song. It sounds great in the car and radio will accept it due to its quality compared to all the other local rappers that are still recording in the closet.

So, you saved 10 dollars for recording at someone's house... Or did you?... (I need to do the math or the artist that think they are saving a few dollars)

$15 = 1 horrible sounding song that took forever to record
$25 = 2 or more REAL studio quality singles ready for radio (technically thats 12.50 per song)

I may be crazy to see why it make sense to record nowhere but at Radio Ready Recording Studios but hopefully this blog entry will help the less guided...
